Dear [salutation],It's been a hectic, incredible month in both El Paso and DC. April flew by, and I'm not just talking about the winds in El Paso.At the beginning of the month, I welcomed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for a tour of the El Paso International Airport. We stopped by the airport’s FAA Tower, the main terminal, and met with local leaders and stakeholders. Last week, I spoke at the investiture of our new U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Jaime Esparza. I'm proud to have led his nomination; I've advocated for outstanding El Pasoans to serve in crucial government roles, and I know he is no exception.Back in DC, my schedule was filled with committee hearings, meetings, interviews, legislation, and votes. I'll take every chance I get to advocate on behalf of our community. As always, please remember to subscribe to my newsletter and follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to ensure you never miss any of my updates and stay in the loop on what I’ve been doing for El Paso.
Representative Veronica Escobar

Dear [salutation],

It's been a hectic, incredible month in both El Paso and DC. April flew by, and I'm not just talking about the winds in El Paso.

At the beginning of the month, I welcomed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for a tour of the El Paso International Airport. We stopped by the airport’s FAA Tower, the main terminal, and met with local leaders and stakeholders. Last week, I spoke at the investiture of our new U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Jaime Esparza. I'm proud to have led his nomination; I've advocated for outstanding El Pasoans to serve in crucial government roles, and I know he is no exception.

Back in DC, my schedule was filled with committee hearings, meetings, interviews, legislation, and votes. I'll take every chance I get to advocate on behalf of our community.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and take some time to share how I’m working on your behalf in Washington.

It was so wonderful to join Ysleta ISD's

Parkland Pre-Engineering Middle School to commemorate our winners and participants from the Congressional App Challenge.

You all are brilliant and inspiring!

Advocating on behalf of Fort Bliss is always a priority for me.

During my meeting with the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army General George, we had a productive conversation about Ft. Bliss' infrastructure & resource requirements, improving quality of life, and more.

April 2023 Batch 4

I presented El Paso artist Gaspar Enriquez with a Congressional Record and a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol for his contributions to our community.

Gaspar, thank you for making El Paso proud!

I cannot understate the importance of young people having a strong financial education.

I stopped by Austin High School to speak about best practices, the opportunities financial knowledge can provide, and federal student loans.

I had the opportunity to tour V.I.B.E.'s new facility.

I was thrilled to hear about your continued progress.

April 2023 Batch 5

It was wonderful to spend some time at the Wellington Chew Senior Center and speak about my commitment to our seniors.

It was a pleasure to speak to the Yucca Neighborhood Association and provide an update about the work going on in our community and our nation's capital.

My office is always here to help.

Equality for the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Tribe is an issue that I have been working on for years, and as slowly as progress has come, I’m optimistic about our legislative prospects.

This month, I met with Gov. Silvas to discuss the legislation I co-introduced, the Tribal Gaming Regulatory Compliance Act.
