Dear [salutation],Can you believe it finally happened? The crown jewel of West Texas - our very own Castner Range - was finally designated as a national monument!Alongside Under Secretary of the Army Gabe Camarillo and local advocates, I had the honor of joining President Biden on March 21 as he announced the designation and it was surreal. This historic announcement had been decades in the making. Generations of activists have dedicated countless hours and resources toward achieving this once seemingly impossible goal.As I wrote for the El Paso Times, Castner Range's designation will be for the benefit of all future generations of Americans, especially El Pasoans, and certainly one of the proudest moments of my time in Congress. Representative Veronica Escobar

Dear [salutation],

Can you believe it finally happened? The crown jewel of West Texas - our very own Castner Range - was finally designated as a national monument!

Alongside Under Secretary of the Army Gabe Camarillo and local advocates, I had the honor of joining President Biden on March 21 as he announced the designation and it was surreal. This historic announcement had been decades in the making. Generations of activists have dedicated countless hours and resources toward achieving this once seemingly impossible goal.

As I wrote for the El Paso Times, Castner Range's designation will be for the benefit of all future generations of Americans, especially El Pasoans, and certainly one of the proudest moments of my time in Congress. I cannot wait to welcome people to my office, where a large canvas print of the poppies hangs on the wall, and introduce it to everyone as “Castner Range, National Monument.” Castner Range forever!

This month, my team and I presented to both El Paso City Council and El Paso County Commissioners Court about federal funding opportunities and the broader services my office provides.

Through Community Project Funding, I've secured over $36 million for our community in the past two years and I'm eager to continue bringing resources back to El Paso.

Pedestrian traffic and connectivity from Ciudad Juarez are vital for a prosperous economy in our community.

That's why I fought to secure $750k through Community Project Funding for the Texas A&M Transportation Institute for a planning study.

I joined El Paso Children's Hospital

to celebrate the federal funding I secured for their Pediatric Mobile Clinic.

Children deserve access to quality medical care and resources, regardless of where they live or their family's income.

As the only federal representative in our region to vote for this funding, I was proud to join El Paso County to celebrate their programs.

March 2023 Batch 2

In 2021, I secured over $2 million to fund a Crisis Intervention Team for El Paso County.

I had the opportunity to meet with them this month and learn about the rollout of the program, including the 4 team vehicles already being used to respond to calls.

I recently hosted an event honoring all of the students I had the privilege of nominating to our nation's services academies.

Thank you all! I'm honored to have played such a small role in your journey toward leadership and service to our country.

Thank you to the City of Socorro for inviting me to join their speaker series!

In honor of Women's History Month, I was proud and humbled to talk about my career in public service and in our community with a fantastic group of women.

Last year, I had the privilege of nominating Richelle Ntumy to

West Point.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with now-Cadet Ntumy about her first year, and it was so fulfilling to see her continue her journey!

This month, my Congressional Youth Advisory Council was able to meet with members of my DC team.

I hope you all enjoyed hearing directly from the people that help me advance my legislative priorities!

American families deserve to be together.

I'm proud to reintroduce the American Families United Act today surrounded by those who have been needlessly separated by a cruel and outdated immigration system for far too long.

Thank you to the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for stopping by my DC office!

It was a pleasure listening to your priorities, such as improved broadband services for rural parts of our county, federal funding for our community, and small business initiatives.

Happy to announce a continued 100% lifetime score on my legislative record with the Humane Society Legislative Fund!

There are few things I love in the world more than my furry friends.

What better time to meet with the Society of Women Engineers

than during Women's History Month?

With the CHIPS Act, House Democrats included investments in STEM education and training to ensure America is remaining competitive on the world stage and empowering future generations of female engineers.
