Can you believe we're already wrapping up the first month of 2023? January has absolutely flown by. At the beginning of the month, I was proud to have welcomed President Biden at my invitation to join us at our nation's front door to witness firsthand the depth of what we are facing and the tremendous collaboration and goodwill of El Pasoans. It was an incredible and inspiring visit.

I was also sworn in as your representative for the third time! I'm honored to continue being your Congresswoman. Representing our community and my hometown in the U.S. House of Representatives is the honor of my lifetime, and you can continue to count on me to act in El Paso's best interest.

It was important to me to share with you all that I successfully secured over $25 million in federal funding to support 14 wonderful projects for our community. You can read more about it below!

One of my priorities as El Paso’s Congresswoman is bringing home resources that will help improve lives and uplift our community. Once again this year, I’m proud to announce over $25 million in federal funding that will help support 14 great projects going on in the community,

This funding comes from Community Project Funding, and I was proud to host a press conference this month with many of the recipients.

Each year, I have the privilege to nominate remarkable El Pasoans to our nation's service academies.

I had the opportunity to share the news with several nominees this month, and I cannot wait to see each of them continue their journey in service of our country.

This National Mentoring Month, we celebrate the ways mentoring provides a consistent, supportive, and guiding hand to our young people.

I'm proud to have met with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of El Paso to discuss the necessity and importance of supporting our youth.

I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with students from Franklin HS this morning!

They’re in DC to share about their “Blankets on the Border” project, where they collected over 1,600 for the Braden Aboud Foundation. It was great to see you all!
