Dear [salutation],I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Congressional Delegation to COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt last month. Representative Veronica Escobar

Dear [salutation],

I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Congressional Delegation to COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt last month. I'm grateful to have joined Speaker Pelosi on our trip, where it was an absolute privilege to meet with so many dedicated public servants and leaders from around the world.

Solving the climate crisis requires comprehensive action. I'm proud of the historic investments our country has made this year, but there's still so much work left to be done.

America is leading the way at home and abroad to fight the climate crisis. Under the leadership of President Biden and Congressional Democrats, we're working on our promise to future generations that we'll be living on a healthy, green planet. Let me be clear, we won't accomplish this alone, but after this global climate summit, I'm feeling as hopeful as ever.

COP27

November. 1st row

Speaker Pelosi is a matriarch to this country, and America owes her a debt of gratitude. I am eternally grateful for her leadership.

Watch my interview with José Díaz-Balart

for my reaction on Speaker Pelosi's decision to not seek leadership and more.

I had the opportunity to speak with DREAMers who spent the day in D.C. speaking with Members of Congress.

Supporting them all is one of the easiest things I've done; you can count on me to keep pushing for meaningful immigration reform.

It was a joy to host the first meeting of my 2022-2023 Congressional Youth Advisory Council in November.

We had great discussions on government, public policy, and more. I look forward to seeing what these bright students accomplish!

Student Loans

Following Republican legal challenges to President Biden's executive order to cancel student loan debt, his Administration has announced an additional extension of the pause on federal student loan repayments in order for the Supreme Court to rule on the case.

The Administration announced that the pause will end no later than June 30, 2023, with payments resuming 60 days after the pause ends.

Thank you to El Paso Inc. for the privilege to speak at the annual Emerging Women of Impact awards and recognitions.

It’s the next generation of young leaders who continue to influence and inspire our community.

El Paso lost a force for good in November. Judy Ackerman was one of the hardest-working, devoted, and inspiring individuals I’ve ever met. She single-handedly collected thousands of signatures for Castner Range and treasured El Paso.

We will all miss her dearly. May she rest in power.

I recently spoke with Bill Melugin to talk real solutions for the          immigration challenges    and opportunities at our southern border.

It’s long past time for Congressional  Republicans to do their job and legislate. I stand ready to talk with any of my colleagues who want to see meaningful change.
