Dear [salutation], I am honored to represent El Paso in the U.S. Congress. Through our work, we get the incredible privilege to authorize federal funding opportunities with the intention of alleviating relief to local taxpayers for projects and services they would otherwise take on. I encourage your entity to visit websites like grants.gov to identify and apply for grants that are in alignment with your entity’s mission. Learn more here about how my office can support grant applicants.

As part of FY24 Community Project Funding, I spent last week highlighting the nearly $20 million I secured for 15 projects in El Paso. El Paso is a community with tremendous need, and it’s always great to be able to secure funding to expand the services incredible organizations offer to El Pasoans.

Happy National Small Business Week! I am proud to be a staunch advocate for small businesses in our community and across the country through my work in Congress. From authorizing funding for relief during the COVID-19 pandemic to hosting U.S. Small Business Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman last summer. Small businesses are the powerhouse of our country, and I celebrate the incredible work of our entrepreneurs this week and every week.

Thanks to the Build Back Better Regional Challenge and the investment of ARPA funds by the City of El Paso for the Innovation Factory, our region’s aerospace and defense industries are growing. I recently had the opportunity to tour the Innovation Factory and heard that several of the businesses operating out of the Innovation Factory have chosen to relocate or expand their operations in the borderland.
