Congresswoman Escobar will be joined by Marc H. Morial, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Urban League, who will discuss how local governments can strengthen police accountability and community oversight.
This critical conversation follows Congresswoman Escobar’s virtual town hall on police accountability and the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which took place on June 16, 2020 with guest speakers Congresswoman Karen Bass (CA-37), Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, and Pastor Michael Grady of the Prince of Peace Church.
