(Pearl Harbor, HI) — Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (TX-16) issued the following statement in recognition of Veterans Day, which is observed on Monday, November 11: “Veterans Day is an opportunity for El Pasoans and our nation to honor the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States of America. “Veterans have served our country with valor and patriotism and made invaluable sacrifices in defense of peace and freedom. We have the obligation to serve them and their families as well as they have served us. “On this important holiday, and every day, let us show them our gratitude and rededicate ourselves to support them by ensuring every veteran in El Paso and across the country, has access to the benefits and opportunities they earned.”
