Congresswoman Escobar Names Emily Loya as New District Director

Today, Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (TX-16) announced new changes to her staff in her El Paso office. Congresswoman Escobar has hired Emily Loya as the new District Director for the Texas 16th Congressional District. Emily has served the El Paso community for over a decade. “Susie Byrd has been my District Director since I was first elected to office and helped me build my strong and devoted team. Susie is a gifted leader and I’m incredibly grateful to her for her service, dedication, and support throughout the last two years,” said Congresswoman Escobar. “Emily is a committed public servant and is dedicated to finding more meaningful ways to positively impact our Borderland and further expand our engagement with the community. Her work ethic and experience will be invaluable as we continue to work for El Pasoans and their families.” “I'm honored to be the newest member of Congresswoman Escobar's team and serve the El Paso community,” said Emily Loya. “I'm stepping into a fantastic, dedicated team and I look forward to furthering our office's impact and reach in constituent services and community engagement.” Prior to joining the Congresswoman’s staff, Emily was the general manager of KCOS/EP Public Television. In 2019, she oversaw the merger with Texas Tech Public Media, where she transitioned to the station manager position for PBS El Paso, as well as the Director of Development and Engagement for Texas Tech Public Media. ### |
