Today, Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (TX-16) released the following statement on the passage of the DHS funding bill: "For over two months, Democrats pushed legislation to avoid the DHS shutdown - a bill identical to the Senate bill that passed 34 days ago. "House Republicans finally put this long-overdue bill on the floor to fund the Department of Homeland Security without including more money for ICE or Border Patrol without reforms, which have billions available.
