Congresswoman Escobar Announces Application Process for Community Project Funding for FY24

Congresswoman Veronica Escobar (TX-16) announced her office would be accepting applications for Community Project Funding (CPF) for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24). As the upcoming appropriations cycle begins, eligible entities are encouraged to submit an application with the Congresswoman’s office to request a one-time infusion of federal funds.

“It is my great honor to serve as your representative in Congress and to ensure that federal dollars are being invested in El Paso. Since the start of Community Projects Funding in Fiscal Year 2022, my team and I have been able to secure funding for 23 community projects, bringing back to El Paso nearly $36 million directly to our cities and towns, our schools, our universities, nonprofits, and companies,” said Congresswoman Escobar. “While I am disappointed to see that this Republican Majority has unveiled new rules to resitrict the scope and funding for these projects that directly invest in communities like ours, I am committed to securing as many federal dollars as possible for El Paso.”

The Congresswoman’s office will also be holding a webinar on March 7th to give a broad overview of the process and answer questions the community may have about their requests. Only state and local government entities, public institutions, and non-profit entities are eligible and guidelines specify that applications cannot include multi-year funding requests.

The deadline to submit a Community Project Funding request is March 17th, 2023. Please reach out to our office if you have any questions regarding the process and submission guidelines.
